Melinda Lombardi,
Proprietor of Salone de Capelli LLC

Melinda has been in the salon industry since 1984, and has always had a vision of creating the ultimate work environment for stylists and technicians. That vision has now come to fruition, as Salone de Capelli.

Being a wife and mother of two, Melinda is concerned with the products we use on ourselves and our children. The choices we make, in the shampoos and lotions we use, can really make a difference. Capelli offers organic hair and skin care products, as well as fair-trade, organic beverages. It is truly a salon with “green” ideals.

“I truly hope you enjoy your visit to Salon de Capelli at the historically renovated Village at Grand Traverse Commons.”

Elise Maier

Elise’s massage experience has taken her all the way to Thailand, the culture they say is the “land of smiles.” There, she was educated in Thai Massage, Thai Foot Reflexology, and the Thai therapeutic touch directly from the native people. Elise has studied LaStone Therapy along the Lake Superior shores, trained extensively at the Institute of Natural Therapies in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and has massaged well known musician’s and artist’s. Her style is quite relaxing, yet energizing, helping you feel more at ease and invigorated in your own body. Because of the wide array of modalities Elise incorporates, she has the necessary tools to provide the best possible service to her clients, easing them of any discomfort, tension, stress, or fatigue and improving circulation to many of the body systems in need of a therapeutic touch.

She has been am educator for 18 years, earned her a masters in education as well as color and is passionate about continuing education. Jinx says “The salon and spa industry improves daily with care and concern for ecology and chemistry, and it’s as important for our clients as it is for us the professionals to stay up with technology and techniques. If we want clients to get the most out of their hair and skin, it’s our job to educate them. My philosophy is to know and accept limitations of hair, product and stylist. Do not ask anyone to do the impossible. Communication is the most important part of creating a look designed just for you.”
